Mystery Guest Montage
Research
For Research, I first watched a reveal from the film Pulp Fiction. This helped me to understand the purpose of a reveal and understand some of the reveal techniques used in many films. I then watched a Mystery Guest Reveal made by a student and made a storyboard of all the scenes. This helped me to understand the different types of shots to use and how long each shot should be. Storyboarding the student's montage also greatly helped me understand how to create an understandable storyboard, including the key information to draw, as well as the key information to write in (For example duration of the shot and type of shot).
Filming
During filming, I accidentally held my camera vertically instead of horizontally. This has had a negative impact on my final product, and it is important that next time I film something I don't make the same mistake. I used many extreme closeups during filming, as they are great at only showing certain features of a person and hiding who they are.
Post Production
During post production, I used Adobe Premier Pro to make changes to the clips and put them together into a sequence. One of the main changes I made was changing the scale to create a zoom. This helped me hide someone's details, even if they had accidentally been part of the clip when I didn't want them to be. I also experimented with freeze frames. The freeze frame gives the audience chance to make a final guess before the Mystery Guest's identity is revealed.

Renaming Files
I have renamed the files (Bottom left) to make it much easier to manage the files in the project.
Final Edit
This is the final version. I accidentally filmed the footage vertically instead of horizontally., this is a mistake which I will not repeat as it severely effects the quality of the video.

TV Advertisement
Research
For Research, we watched old Coca Cola and other soft drink adverts to get inspiration and to see the type of things which are regularly occurring in this type of advert. This helped us make our own advert and make sure that our advert had the same key points.

We also made a shot list so that we knew exactly what shots we needed to get when filming.
Filming
To film our advert, we used a camera. To know what we had to shoot, we used the shot list. The filming process was relatively easy as we had a clear plan of what we were going to film.
Post Production
During post production, I used Adobe Premier Pro to make changes to the clips and put them together into a sequence. One of the main changes I made was changing the saturation to make the clips black and white. This made it easier to put the focus on the product, as when filming we did not get any zoomed-in shots of the person drinking the drink, so we had to come up with a more creative way to put the focus on the product. The entire shot is black and white apart from the red label on the drink bottle, which is in full colour. I did this by using the leave colour effect and then making a mask around the cola bottle to make sure that there were no other red objects, such as bricks, in the shot.
When the coke is drunk, the saturation slowly goes up, indicating that drinking the drink brings colour into your world. I made this effect by setting keyframes on the saturation setting.

After the saturation has come back, it changes to a different clip. The new clip is a closeup of the

At the end of the advertisement, I used a freeze-frame to get a clear picture of the product.

EVALUATION - One of the things I believe I did best in this advertisement, is the use of the Leave Colour effect to make the coca cola bottle pop out against the desaturated background. What I believe I could have done better with this effect is when the soft drink is being consumed, the colour could have spiralled or grown out from the bottle, this effect would make it more obvious that it is the drink bringing the colour back into the world.

I also believe I could've greatly improved the choice of music, as I don't feel that it 100% fits the advert. It is too relaxed and may not get people's attention.
