Music Video Ideas

My first idea is the video will be relatively simple, just following the person walking around, and lip syncing. Certain parts of the music video will link to the lyrics of the song.

The main part of the video will come in the edit, I will edit the music video to look very out of this world, with different colours flashing on and off the screen, and the video going wavy at parts.

This idea will involve one person standing in different local locations. The camera will start from far out and zoom into their eyeballs, transitioning to the next location. This will happen over and over again, as the song title is "lost", so he will be in many different locations. This will happen only in the chorus.

In the verses, there will be quick shots of the things mentioned in the verse. For example, when he mentions "jumpshot", I will put a video of someone doing a jumpshot.

There will be a person playing basketball, he shoots the ball into the sky, the camera will follow the ball and when the camera is in the sky, it will cut to different videos of what the lyrics are talking about.

These videos will be small-medium size and will appear in the sky. They will appear in a timeline, and will all be connected together by a line. What he has said most recently will appear on the left and move to the right when he says a new thing.

Lyric Analysis

[Chorus]
Well, if you out there in the streets and you lookin' for me
When you find me, tell me, I said I been lookin' for me
If you out there in the streets and you lookin' for me
When you find me, tell me, I said I been lookin' for me

[Refrain]
I been lookin' for some love, but it ain't lookin' for me
That's why she bite her tongue when she tell me that pussy for me
And I been lookin' for somebody that been lookin' for me
Keepin' my two fingers crossed, but I'm still lookin' for peace
I been lookin' at the clouds, maybe they'll listen to me

Can't talk dirty to myself because the mirror's too clean
Tryin' never to look back because the light always green
It's safe to say I lost my way, but I never lost the lead

[Chorus]
And if you out there in the streets and you lookin' for me
When you find me, tell me, I said I been lookin' for me
If you out there in the streets and you lookin' for me
When you find me, tell me, I said I been lookin' for me

[Verse 1]

Every time it beat, it break apart
I really think it's all my daddy fault
I can't find the keys to my heart
Think I'ma need the automatic start
Out there lookin' for love after dark
Then I get tired and it's an afterthought
Where's the love? Five question marks
Eat your heart out, I had to starve
It's the saddest part
I'm questionin' myself, I ain't gotta answer yours
Baby, that's for sure
I take a look at myself and then I just pass the torch
Baby, back and forth
I ask can we get together just to break back apart
Baby, that's the cure
Me, myself, I, my iPhone, Fantastic Four
Never knew 'take it or leave it' could be so literal
Never knew takin' a breather could be so physical
Never knew takin' it easy could be so difficult
Never knew takin' these drugs could be so spiritual
Never knew the chemist like how I know the chemicals
Never knew takin' a life could be so minuscule
Never know takin' chances will be individual
Never know takin' advantage would be inhospitable, how pivotal
Never knew the shit I never knew would be minimal, how cynical
Never knew love and hate were similar, identical

[Refrain]
I been lookin' for some love, but it ain't lookin' for me
That's why she bite her tongue when she tell me that pussy for me
And I been lookin' for somebody that been lookin' for me
Keepin' my two fingers crossed, but I'm still lookin' for peace

[Chorus]
And if you out there in the streets and you lookin' for me
If you find me, tell me, I said I been lookin' for me
If you out there in the streets and you lookin' for me
When you find me, tell me, I said I been lookin' too deep

[Verse 2]

I can't find the keys to this life
Picked the locks, I might be a'ight

Close my eyes, I might see the light
Life is a bitch, she might be my type
Death is a bitch, she might be tonight

Haters kiss and dick-eaters bite
Table turn every day 'n night
Three-sixty, three-sixty-five
I can't find no leaks to my pipe
Police can't find nor reason nor right
Been tryna let shit happen on the fly
But I can't find a seat on that flight
There's a private plane, that's simple and plain
Tickets at a more reasonable price
Sometimes, I don't know how it's gon' end
Even though I done seen the movie twice
Pop a wheelie, new motorbike
Some people like to live a slower life
Some niggas like to live cutthroat
I'ma be the nigga that hold the knife
You girl wan' hold me tight over night
Who am I to tell her wrong from right?
I'ma give her more dick than advice
You give her more strings to a kite
I just found a needle in a haystack, bitch, it's payback
I found myself talkwin' to myself with nothin' to say back
And I just found the keys to a Maybach I had way back
Tryna find everything but my way back

[Chorus]
Yeah, well, if you out there in the streets and you lookin' for me
When you find me, tell me, I said I been lookin' for me
If you out there in the streets and you lookin' for me
When you find me, tell me, I said I been lookin' for me

I been lookin' at my posse with a look of belief
I been lookin' my closet and it look like Paris

They been lookin' for your body, they been lookin' for weeks
They find you dead with your eyes open, lookin' for grief

[Outro]
I been lookin' at the clouds, they say they look up to me
Safe to say I lost some sleep, but I never lost my dreams
If you out there in the streets and you lookin' for me
When you find me, tell me, I said I been lookin' too deep
They lost

In the chorus, Lil Wayne tells the listener that he has been trying to find himself. This shows that he doesn't know who he is anymore. The rest of the song gives the reason of being heartbroken too many times.

In the refrain, Lil Wayne explains to the listeners that he has been feeling lonely and is looking for love, but he can't seem to find it anywhere. He says "I been lookin' for some love, but it ain't lookin' for me", which shows that it takes two people to fall in love, and one person wanting to be in love isn't enough. When he says "Tryin' never to look back because the light always green", he is talking about how it isn't a good idea to dwell on the past, and people should always keep moving forward.

In the first line, Lil Wayne is talking about his heart. The fact that it breaks every single time it beats shows how heartbroken he truly is.

The reason he blames his dad for this problem is that when Dwayne was younger, his biological dad left the family, and never taught Wayne what true love was and didn't show any examples of it.

"I can't find the keys to my heart Think I'ma need the automatic start." In this line, the rapper compares his heart to a car, and that he can't start it back up by himself, as he has forgotten how to.

When Wayne gets tired of looking for love, it just turns into an afterthought. This shows that he doesn't even care anymore, and knows he is looking for something he most likely will never get.

When Wayne asks "can we get together just to break back apart", this shows that he is so desperate for a high point that he will happily go through all the sadness which will inevitably come afterwards.

With this scheme, Wayne is showing how much he has learnt during his long career and his life, as when he started his career he was only a teenager.

Even though Wayne doesn't have the keys, he is so desperate to get his life back that he will go as far as to pick the lock.

"Tables turn every day 'n night, three-sixty three-sixty-five", This is Wayne telling people that life is always changing, and that there is no escaping that.

"Been tryna let shit happen on the fly." This is similar to a line from the first verse where he says "Never knew takin' it easy could be so difficult. Here, Wayne is saying that whatever lifestyle and state of mind he has, there will always be problems appearing because of them.

"I don't know how it's gon' end even though I done seen the movie twice". This is Wayne talking about different relationships he has been in, saying that although he has been in many different relationships (seen the movie twice), he always expects a different ending than the last time.
